I guess I was living too much on the edge..
Testing my fate...
Flirting with danger...
...but I kept letting the gas in the car go below the "E".
And by that I mean BELOW the E!
I had just put $10 in the tank the night before
and then $10 the day before that.
TEN DOLLARS doesn't go very far these days I guess....
cause on my way home from my niece's dance recital
the car came to a puttering stop on the freeway.
We stayed in the van for a few minutes
- but the cars seemed way to close for the girls' liking -
so we decided we would
try living in the ditch by the side of the road.
try living in the ditch by the side of the road.
It could be an adventure...
even if there was crazy weird trash strung about.
We were real HOBOs because we didn't even have a blanket to sit on.
We emptied the 3 grocery sacks we had in the car
and headed off into the brush.
and headed off into the brush.
"Sit on your plastic bags girls and let's watch the cars go by."
We had some games stashed in the car to pass the time.
Turns out being a HOBO isn't so bad.
Especially when it's only for a half hour.
My sweet husband came to our rescue
My sweet husband came to our rescue
with gas can in hand
.....and then we had to go back to
the boring life of just being us.
the boring life of just being us.
Annie - this picture is for you......
Nothing like relaxing on the side of the road.
