Welcome 2013!

Welcome 2013!  This past week as has been a big week of reflection for me.  Thinking about all that has happened this past year and what I have learned from it.  I have a lot of fun things in mind for 2013 and am excited for the journey.

I am thinking about goals, resolutions and Revolutions in all the areas of my life: Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Photographer, Friend. What is my vision for 2013???

Another First :)

Sunday was another first for us - but mostly a first for Jaxon.  Jaxon got his first church calling.  He was called to be the Deacon's Secretary.
He seemed nervous but excited.
Because it was also Fast Sunday we had testimony meeting at home.
When Jaxon bore his testimony he said he was stressed at first - but then when he was set apart he felt calm and that he could do it.
I love that God has a way a teaching my child what he needs to know.

Growing up

I took my Jr High son to the school today...
We checked out where his locker was and let him try his combination a few times.

We went down all the halls to find all of his classes.  He mapped out where he will go for his "A" days and "B" days.

It was fun to see my 'little" man out into the big wide world of 7th grade.

Lazy Summer Days

Had a great relaxing afternoon taking a nap on the trampoline under the tree -

We laid blankets out
Kevan, Kennedy, and I savored the breeze
as we drunk in a lazy summer day!

What's the deal?

I can't keep the house clean - HELP!!!  How do people do it?

I just feel like all I am doing is picking up and yet it never feels picked up.

I need an assitant!!!
Want me to hire you?

Love moments like these -

when the kids just love hanging out with each other.

These are fleeting moments.

Quack Quack

Logan has a ducktail -

He hates it.....

So this morning in the secret chambers of the car he took a pair of scissors and
CUT IT OFF!

Problem is - that created a huge hole in his hair....
which I suddenly noticed as I was trying to trim his hair this afternoon. It was a 2 inch half circle GONE!!

I get the logic....You don't like it - then CUT it and it's not there anymore.  Funny Kid!
I hope I blended it in enough - cause if he doesn't like it - Now I am afriad what he will do.  Suddenly into his hair :)
